SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Drums.ABOUT
After living abroad for the past 4-5 years, everywhere from Canada to Sweden, Holland to Japan, I've relocated back to the United States in the Chicago area and am currently building a small indie recording studio in my house. I am looking to kickstart a band with musicians who, to borrow a hackneyed phrase, want nothing more than to "go all the way". Please read the influences section to determine if you are the right fit for this project, as I have listed the bands which are the greatest influences in the music I compose. Though I have written over 400 songs in the past 4 years, I am eager to see what other talented musicians with similar taste will bring to the table.
The defining genres I work within are progressive mathematical metal and/or djent.

EQUIPMENT
Several bass guitars, my main being a Music Man Bongo. Some of my gear is still in Canada and currently being lent to other musical friends of mine. I'll pick up more gear locally quite soon. I've also got an 8 string Schecter which I've just started exploring, as well as a PA-588 Korg keyboard. My home studio contains much, much more, mixing boards, computers, and a plethora of world instruments including handpans, tablas, udus, rain sticks, bongos, tri-flutes, an erhu, a zither, and more. Due to current living arrangements, I do not have any amplifiers or cabinets at present, but look forward to acquiring some once I settle into the area more and find the best places to invest in music equipment.

We All Fall Down Sound Sample
We All Fall Down Sound Sample Track number: 1 Year: 2013 Album: In Praise of Shadows EP 2013 Genre: Metal
Sample clip from one of my math metal compositions. Everything except the bass is completely digitized using software programs Logic and Guitar Pro 6. The bass track was written first as the result of a slap/pop exercise. I then wrote the guitar tracks on a Washburn 6 string jazz guitar, then simply step-by-step notated the patterns digitally. This file serves as an example of the style of music I strive to arrange with a band.
