SEEKING

Band to Join, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, DJ, Electronic Music.

ABOUT

I'm actively seeking (as of January 2019) a DJ, synth/keys player, and/or bassist who want to perform Afro-Pop/Aftrobeat like the Nolo song attached to my profile. If you could have fun gigging in the Worcester area with this style of hybrid sequenced/live music, please drop me a line. We are forming a small group of musicians who:

1. Live close to Worcester
2. Will have *fun* playing this music
3. Are comfortable (or willing to work on getting comfortable) outside the typical rock/blues canon. Maybe you play reggae?

The band configuration could change to accommodate the right people, including a DJ or electronic musician who can work with Ableton Live, a keyboardist who can do a little sequence control, a guitarist or horn player who can blend into the mix, etc. If you're interested, send me an email for some sample tunes.

More about me --

If you are looking for a competent, creative (when appropriate), and professional drummer, give me a try.

I can play multiple drum set styles, including rock, be-bop/jazz, and various latin/afro-cuban grooves and I would love to find a band that has a use for those skills. I was first a rudimental/classical drummer, then I played rock covers for many years, then musical theater pit drumming--so I'm not afraid of reading a chart or a stylistic curve-ball. I also spent 6-ish years teaching students of various ages at a music shop. I have no problem making time to practice, and I would really like some new challenges.

I work for myself, so I can rehearse or gig almost any time, with a little advance notice.

EQUIPMENT

Pro kits, cymbals, and mics, in various flavors, which I can rearrange to suit different musical styles and venues. I usually play a small four-piece kit. When miced, I prefer playing with a compressed drums submix and I have the gear to make that happen.
