ABOUT

Hey there,

I’m putting together a project. It’s originals and covers (about 50-50...hopefully that’s enough covers for you?) and the plan is to be gig ready inside 3 months. I’ve spent too much time playing in bands that just practice forever which is why I’m taking the reigns on this one (though any help is appreciated). All the songs are written just need each member’s personal stamp.

I’m currently working with a singer-songwriter fellow whose songs fall into the folk-rock countryish, bluesyish sort of thing. I write as well, though I want to play some covers so we can get decent gigs, and I don’t like to sing covers. Thus I have teamed up with David.

Some random, stream of consciousness information that you might want to know: He’s 59. I’m 30. We both have fairly flexible schedules. Hoping to gig 1-2 per month. Both of us are easygoing, no drug problems, drinking problems, I’m quitting smoking (I swear to god). We had a bassist and drummer lined up but they both got calls to go on a tour is the story they put forth. He lives in a condo I live in an apartment, so practice space needs to be figured out (I have a line on a rehearsal room in Marietta, but that would require a financial contribution of $25-50/ mo. until we start booking gigs (Room is $400/mo. Split between 2-4 bands, depending on how many I can find to split). Hopefully you’ll hear something you can get behind here—when I finally get around to giving you music links— and that doesn’t scare you off. Hoping to practice Monday’s around 4 at that place or 430 south of Marietta, preferably on Monday’s.

Sorry for the mess of words. I try to be as upfront and honest as possible. Plus, I currently can’t sleep so this has probably been a less coherent message than one could hope for.

Anyway, you can hear some tunes at the links below:

If for some reason David’s stuff doesn’t speak to you but mine does, or vice versa, let’s talk about that too.

Best,

Evan
