We are looking for a guitarist to complete our sound. Looking specifically for a player with a darker edge, in the realm of a hard rock guitarist will more emphasis on rock tones than an ambient sound walls. If I had to say what kind of tones I am looking for think the guitar from Suicidal Tendencies applied to Pink Flyode/Dead Kennedy's/New York Dolls/Radio head mix.

We like a lot of music, it would be easier to say what we are not too interested in doing; pop music of any flavor, Nashville country, that overdone tool/AIC/KORN sound, the whiny I'm so quirky "indie" sound and the I can't believe its not black flag 4/4 box formation punk band. Otherwise we are pretty open to anything but its up to the group to decide if the sound works in the end.

What we are looking to accomplish is to emulate the methods of the Psychedelic forefathers without plagiarizing what they did completely. We sort of abide by psychedelic music being a method of writing where all forms of contemporary music are arranged together. Pink Floyd used - Rhythm and Blues and Country and other contemporary forms of music of their time. We would like to do the same with all of the genres within our period of time.

About us - We are bass/vocals, guitar/vocals, and drums. The guitarist we are working with right now is more in the drony ambient sound, while we dig it we would also like to add some meat to the mix. I am also up for switching instruments between bass and guitar for a couple songs to really change the sound as well.

We are playing out, we are recording, we are trying to make this work. Check out some of our tunes at ./thelifeforms - Some of our songs were too long for so I would have to send those to you. The stuff online was pretty much a demo so that people knew we could play music, nothing permanent nor is there much there that we want to keep playing (well maybe Flying Spaghetti Monster and Screens), the guitars were some buddies of mine who filled in as a favor.

What we ask of you:

- We practice Wednesday and Sunday - be there.
- Have a Car or some way to get you gear around
- Have or be willing to buy gear that is worth recording.
- Contribute to the band - musically and in other needed efforts
- Concerning production you should be involved.
- This is our baby it should be your baby too.

If you can sing great, if you can't Thats cool too.
