ABOUT

Looking to jam and see what may develop. I'm connected with an excellent drummer (singer, acoustic guitar), and we are mostly interested in a bassist and vocalist, but would love to add some keys at some point, too. Classic rock/metal, blues, a bit of prog, pop, R&B (who doesn't love Motown?). Mainly wanna have some fun and find a steady gig or two just to get out and play in front of people again. No pressures and no drama.

Influences

See above--Eveything has been an influence. Currently, I'm binging Tedeschi-Trucks and revisiting stuff like Donnie Hathaway; Etta James ---and also some Guess Who and Lovin' Spoonful (underrated, imo) Allman Brothers, and generally "Southern Rock".

Last year it was prog and prog-metal. First influences were the usual suspects--Angus- Priest-Nugent-Gibbons-Neal Schon- Eddie-Randy-- and Gary Moore. Everyone can play though. I've been moved by The Blue Nile, Aretha, Leonard Cohen, Marvin Gaye and Benny Goodman. Good is good.

Coltrane amazes me, still, as does Willie Nelson and Marty Robbins.

Guitarists are a dime a dozen (have you seen those 12-year old Chinese kids shredding?). I'm nothing special, otherwise I wouldn't be looking to play covers in bars for gas money.
