I play 5-string electric violin, into all types of music. I have an ongoing jazz/funk/blues type project with a professional producer/keyboardist which could use a great drummer or bassist. I would really like to play more gigs - particularly of the rock / electronic type - but am down to give anything a try. I can improvise, naturally pick up melodies very quickly, write solos/songs, and my technical skills are pretty good at this point (I keep them sharp with the two bibles of violin, Bach and Carl Flesch scales).
