I've been playing guitar fairly casually since 2004. I started taking private lessons in 2017 and have really enjoyed focusing on improving my timing, ability to play lead riffs, and learning more about the theory behind the music.
I've gotten to the point where I want to try playing music with other people - it's fun to play along with recordings at home, but I think the next step is to start playing with other people and play/rehearse covers. If we sound good and have an opportunity to next level things by playing out in the town somewhere, that'd even be better!
What I may lack in skill I'll make up for it in dedication to trying to learn and improve.
