I've done a tremendous amount of cover situations involving mutliple musical styles, where I was given a large song list to learn and then play on a long series of gigs shortly after.

The music videos on the left are there simply because I'm a fan. Still a huge daily listener to a variety of bands / artists. Music is medicine and inspiration.

The first audio track is from a band I once played with called Ruthie & The Gents (2009), and was a Zoom portable rehearsal recording of the group working through a new (to us) song.

The Playalong tracks are my jamming to various CDs at home last spring (2018) using a Fosto D50 recorder.

The Former Startup tracks were iPhone rehearsal recordings done this summer at SER Rehearsal Studios I did with a startup (2018).

The quality isn't great on any of these audio track recordings but is enough using a subwoofer speaker system or headphones to provide reference. Bass does not record clearly with condensor mics (which was the option at the time these were made).

I'm FenderBassist on Talkbass.

Instrument experience:

Bass Guitar:

Sold my old heavy basses and amps, using all new lighter gear. Have two basses for standard tuning and also for flat tuning (to always have a backup bass on a gig). I don't use 5 string basses anymore, thus this approach.

Fender Standard Precision Bass in Arctic White
- standard tuning, roundwound strings

Squier Vintage Modified PJ Precision Bass in Lake Placid Blue
- standard tuning, flatwound strings

Squier Vintage Modified PJ Precision Bass in Lake Placid Blue
- flat tuning, roundwound strings

Squier Vintage Modified PJ Precision Bass in 3-tone Sunburst
- flat tuning, roundwound strings

Currently using D'Addario EXL-170 roundwounds on three of the basses and Fender 9050L flatwounds on one.

Fender Rumble 500 head
- with 1 Fender Rumble 115 cabinet (1x15" @ 300 watts)
- with 2 Fender Rumble 115 cabinets (2x15" @ 500 watts)

Fender Rumble 200 combo
- solo (1x15" @ 140 watts)
- with 1 Fender Rumble 115 cabinet (2x15" @ 200 watts)
