Halloween 2010, a guitarist and a drummer got together in a basement for their first jam.
Little did we know, it was going to be the first of many, many more.
Guerin Rowland and Ali Haque continued to jam for a month or more after then, in Ali's basement, until they were approached by vocalist Jordan Everts. Having heard of their jam sessions, Jordan suggested they start a band.
Fire in the Sky had it's humble beginnings.
Months passed, with weekly practices, songwriting and learning, at a modest rate of improvement.
April 2011 came around, and Ali sensed an opportunity; Jourdan Watson, a mutual friend of Guerin's and Ali's, idly commented that she could play the bass. Ali wasted no time in extending an invitation to her, to join the band.
A huge success. 4 members strong, Jourdan added the missing piece to the puzzle; within two jam sessions, she had written a bass part to all the written songs that Fire in the Sky had, and contributed many more.
Success and production increased exponentially, with Fire in the Sky hosting a local community benefit concert, and then another concert, headlining both. Soon after, in October 2011, Elizabeth Bondarenko joined the band, bringing her unique talent and background into the mix. The completion was at hand.
Fire in the Sky has recorded independently, and released several songs, including Boxes, The Woods, and Party Poison (an MCR cover). Fire in the Sky is currently unsigned, awaiting offers.
They eagerly await their chance and limelight, and their motto is: "Music is what you are, not what you do."
