I have been playing music all my life, and for some reason, the bug finally bit me a couple of years ago. I am looking to network with people in my area who want to get together and play, sing, thump, groove, gig, open mike, or just get together for beer and gorgonzola cheese.

My own damned self. Rants and raves: I love poppy runny bass lines. I'll suffer the coal shoveling root five thump thump country bass, and give that my all if someone else has a song that demands it.
But I love a challenge. My strongest influences are the folks around me playing music right now. Thats all that really matters, isn't it?
Okay- I'm a 70's kid, gimme The Who, Zappa, Queen, Costello, The Dead, Cars, Stones, Jimi, Janice, CSN,
also Willie, Dylan, Patsy and Robert Johnson.
I dig old classic jazzy stuff from the 1890's and '20's makes me smile. Damn, did Cab Calloway get there first or what. I've worked on Bach horn duets, which put everything else in its place.
Phish, Porcupine Tree and Primus get things going, as do things that have yet to be written.
I'd love to be influenced by someone with fantastic new stuff.
I gots a nice electric fretless, a Fender Jazz, a totally sweet '65 Bassman amp, a good speaker cab that will fill a small hall, and practice stuff to schlep along.
