Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard.

I Played as a kid 16 thru 19 in a local band. Picked up the sticks again about 15 years ago and took some lessons to learn and read music notation. I play by ear and am a solid timekeeper.

No fancy chops here, I'm not a technician. I play the song, not for the showmanship. I just finished an11-month (12/21/2017) gig with Off The Record - https://www.facebook.com/OTRBANDNY1/?ref=br_rs a classic rock cover band. Not happy with the band's future vision. I also fill in for a group of guys I grew up with 50 years ago (Yikes!)

I'm always looking for new opportunities to better my playing and up my game, so If you're a band looking for a solid and reliable timekeeper, I'll be happy to audition for you. Would love to do more of a Blues type act. Just in case your wondering, I'm 67 years old.

I'm also considering a startup which would cover more r&b / blues styles. Ideally, think Robert Cray, Stevie Ray, Joe Bonamassa, Eric Clapton type covers. Looking for like-minded players who enjoy that genre. What about you? I'd love to hear what your tastes are. If this sounds like something you would consider, we can book a couple of hours at Fenix studios to see if it's feasible. No pressure, If it's not to your liking, we shake and move on!

In addition to musicians who can sing back-up (I do not), I'm looking for a female vocalist to be part of the mix.

P.S.- No Prima Donna's please, just a nice friendly meeting of the minds. Just so you know, although I'm not a professional musician, my goal would be to play the songs as close as possible to the originals.

Not looking to put a "garage band" together. When people come to see us I want them to be blown away. I won't actively book gigs until we're ready. So if I didn't scare you by now, please reach out.
