Reginald E Cummings(FLXMN) was born 1972 in Vicksburg,Ms. Growing up in Yazoo City(Yukztown),Ms introduced Flxmn to rappin. Flxmn was known as Reggie C in Shady Lane Projects battling any out of towners in the 80’s. In the early 80’s, Flxmn helped form a hiphop group called 6Emceez. Flxmn performed at several high school events. He joined the U.S.Navy in mid’91 and received the name Flxmn from navy buddies at the Ingalls shipbuilding yard in Pascagoula,Ms. Underway on a ship, Flxmn joined an unknown rap group for a short period of time. Flxmn has performed at several events in Pascagoula,Ms,Philadelphia,Pa,& San Diego,Ca. In ’93,Flxmn was released from the Navy with an o.t.h. discharge for bad behavior. Relocating to Jackson,Ms, he begin working 9 to 5 bringing the rapping to a halt. In ’94, he packed up & moved to Colorado Springs,Co. Flxmn got back into the rap scene quickly in Colorado Springs. He won second place in a major talent showcase on Fort Carson Army base around early’94. In mid’94, he received certificates & awards in showing support & dedication for several positive youth programs such as T.R.U.S.T.& etc. After freestylin & brainstormin at numerous clubs throughout Colorado Springs, Flxmn met YD. Flxmn joined Hoztyl Records under YD & recorded Skillz&Techz compilation in ’95. Songs like Onset & various brainstorms took the streets of Colorado by surprise. Back & forth from Colorado to Jackson, Flxmn returned to Colorado in ’97 to record the compilation called Hoztyl Takeover under YD with various artists from east coast,west coast,& etc. Once again Flxmn had the streets locked with songs like Uh Huh,Eaze Ya Mind,& the bangin azz hiphop classic joint with the help of YD called Critikal Condishun. Through a co-worker, Flxmn met a hot producer named Maestro. Flxmn & Maestro became one of the hottest hiphop groups in Colorado called Universal Stylez. After numerous performances, Flxmn & Maestro went separate ways. In 2000, Flxmn moved back to Jackson,Ms met Flipstyle,Killa Will,& joined Mercenary Records. The hot joint called Fulbludid took you way back to the days of Yukztown. Flxmn gave Yazoo City the name Yukztown around 2000. Flxmn performed at several elementary schools throughout Jackson,Ms. After contract differences, Flxmn left Mercenary Records & joined Flawless Records under Killa Will. After a couple of weeks of slow progress,Flxmn left Flawless Records. Around 2003,Flxmn rejoined Flipstyle & signed to Dubbed Out Records. He recorded a 7 song ep titled Unheard Of with songs like Eva Since,Getcha Guardz Up,Goodfeelin,& Party Like Us. Through Dubbed Out Records,Flxmn met a hiphop artist named Suede 1. After several weeks of bad communication,Flxmn left the label. In 2005,Flxmn went to Paducah,Ky,regrouped wit YD & recorded the bangin compilation album named Blood-Sweat-Spit-Soul with various artists from different areas. Flxmn had heads bangin with songs like Bboy Stance,Drop That,& the song dedicated to all the mothers named This One. Back in Jackson,Ms around 2005 & 2006,Flxmn joined Suede 1 to create the baddest hiphop crew throughout Mississippi called Famlee Jewelz. Flxmn & Suede 1 were the masterminds behind the Drunken Eye Entertainment label. Flxmn & Suede1 recorded several albums including mixtapes,compilations, & etc. Flxmn recorded a final mixtape wit Suede1 called Suede1 meetz Flxmn. Flxmn brought the realness back with songs like Beef Killa,I Don’t Know(feat Suede1 & Money Mane),& Alwayz&Neva(feat Kasanova). After bad communication,differences,& personal reasons,Flxmn left Famlee Jewelz & Drunken Eye. Presently,Flxmn has regrouped wit YD for upcoming projects.
