ABOUT

Guitarist/singer seeking female co-vocalist for duo or small ensemble. The sound would be an eclectic mix inspired by 60s pop/girl-groups/Baroque-pop, 70s soft-rock/power-pop, 80s new wave/post-punk/jangle-pop, and some 90s indie. Heavy on jangly guitars with male/female harmonies and shared vocals. Covers and originals both OK - I'm not looking to conquer the world, just doing this for fun.

Amateurs welcome, ability/experience are less important than common ground on musical influences. A few of my influences: Velvet Underground, The Carpenters, Go-Betweens, Camera Obscura, Jesus and Mary Chain, the Bats, Verlaines, Clean, Galaxie 500, Mazzy Star, Sundays, Big Star, Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, Joy Division/New Order, Abba, Stereolab, the Byrds, Felt, Nick Drake, Tears for Fears, Young Marble Giants, the Clientele, Mojave 3, Wrecking Crew/Phil Spector/Pet Sounds.
