I've enjoyed playing lead/backup guitar in a few bands and am seeking a band with a good work ethic/businesslike attitude towards practice and performance. I enjoy writing songs (lyrics and melody) and learning/sharing performing techniques with others. For most of my life, I played both chords and melody in fingerpicking style but, since performing with groups, have loved the FUN of getting into a groove with others in good uptempo songs!

Whether it's joining your band or OUR forming our own band, I'm game! I'd prefer that you live in the Rancho Mirage, CA area, just so we can meet easily at least once a week. If we get into touring, you can be from ANY area. I'm retired and would greatly enjoy traveling with my guitar!

Influences

My favorite genre is 70's soft rock (John Denver, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Eagles, Credence, Carole King and, of course, The Beatles) but am open to any genre of song that has a good lyrics, beat and melody. Lately, I've enjoyed getting into Americana, swing-jazz (Frank Sinatra) and country music.

EQUIPMENT

On the road: Taylor steel string acoustic guitar, Acoustic-brand amp, Roland Micro-Cube amp. I also have an 8 channel Fender PA system with several Shure mics. I have a Mac recording setup with mics, Mbox and Axiom keyboard. I used to edit music via Protools professionally for 30+ years at Hollywood television studios.
