I really love music. Listening to it. Playing it. Talking about it. Working on it. I like being around others who do the same. Although I've been playing for many years, I still carry the same enthusiasm of the 16-year-old me for the next musical thing I get to learn or do.
I'm an experienced past professional and semi-professional bass player / multi-instrumentalist. Bass is my primary instrument, but knowing the other instruments helps me communicate with the others I work with, plus if a song requires it, I can hold down other duties.
I also write and arrange. Very familiar with studio work. Very comfortable working with creative teams in demanding situations.
My three rules of bass playing:
1. It's all about the pocket.
2. It's all about the pocket.
3. It's great to add color and movement to a song when appropriate, and it's all about the pocket.
I don't use or abuse any substances, and I bring no psychodrama.
If your vibe requires that I stand still and play, I can do that, but left to my own devices, I really enjoy playing, so I tend to be kinetic on stage.
Willing to relocate for the right (very compelling) opportunity. For a local cover or tribute act, I'd prefer an act that's focused on corporate shows and similar engagements. Working bands who need a new bassist would be great, but I don't mind a startup with the right energy, focus, and connections.

I'm influenced by pretty much anything I hear. If I like it, it finds its way into my playing. Over the years, here are some of the players who have taken me to school: James Jamerson, Dave La Rue, Geddy Lee, Paul McCartney, Colin Moulding, Les Nemes, Jaco Pastorius, Sting, John Taylor, Verdine White.
