Open Call for Portland’s Best Hippie Musicians to Form Woodstock Era Cover Band
This is a call for serious musicians who are deeply versed in music of the late sixties and early seventies (what I’m calling the “Woodstock Era").
To be a good fit for this endeavor you might be already living by a personal ethic of peace, love, and harmony; you understand that this is a cover band and not a potential showcase for your personal work or stylistic inventions outside the genre); you are extremely versatile (extra points for being gifted on multiple instruments; huge cheers for wide vocal ranges; enormous group hug if you can do both :0) ; you have the time and dedication to meet twice a week regularly for practice; you have the time and determination to learn two new songs per week; you are tolerant of traditional hippie lifestyle choices and behaviors as long as they don’t detract from the effective functioning of the band. :0}
