Tough minded, sensitive to subtlety, averse to cliche. Looking for especially focused, resonant collaborators whose priority is to cultivate a sense of personal meaning through artistic expression. In so doing I intend to create commercially viable output, but to place the latter before the former is disqualifying. Ideally I want to be a part of a band without a central member, whose music is an emergent property of the creative dynamic between all players. In the meantime I'm working on an album along the lines of the demo tracks I have posted here. I'm interested in finding players to fill in that project as well. Looking ahead I'm inspired to move on stylistically into unknown territory from where I'm at with these tracks, which are mostly culminations of older ideas. I'm not sure what that looks like, but I feel it can be borne out in collaboration with the right minded musicians. I want to find the community energy that will flip the table on this never ending era of insipid pop and hiphop with something meaningful, hard, heavy, new fashioned and mean. Primarily I write lyrics and sing, though I play most rock instruments and write all the music when I'm working on my own as I have for these demos. I'm looking for drums, bass, guitar, electronics/modular/synth etc. Violin, saxophone, pedal steel, homemade sculptures? Sure.
