ABOUT

Hello! I've been a performing songwriting guitarist most of my life. Fronting several bands since i was 19 years old in the US Army 101st Airborne. I'm looking to collaborate with other like minded musicians with dedication to write great songs, record an album, and possibly tour on that part-time. Looking to venture in the authentic, old time sounds. southwest indie band we affectionately call Fox Rabbit Run. Who's interested?

My last band played out regularly five years, festivals, tours, and released a single, and EP and a full length which received modest airplay and earned some TV / Film licensing as I'm an independent music publisher (BMI). You can find many music videos, and music by Auto Defiance.
Alternative / Post Punk / New Wave We were based out of East Nashville, TN.

Influences

A lot of punk, glam and Heavy Metal... 70's, and some 80's.. New Wave, Post Punk., electronica, Electro Pop. Shoegaze. Enjoy big shoegazey indie songs. as well as acoustic, oldtime folk, jazz, rag-time, alternative rock, old western.. outlaw country. I dig a lot of newer indie folk.. 60's pop.. sh*t- too much to list! Usually prefer upbeat, driving music that's not too slow or sad.
Dig: Silversun Pickups, Phantogram, Pixies, Lights, Metric, The Smiths, Modest Mouse, Sonic Youth. Bowie, The Cure, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, XX, New Order, Joy Division, Violent Femmes, The Doors, Gorillaz, Radiohead. Depeche Mode, Crystal Castles, Peter Bjorn and John, Led Zeppelin, The Flaming Lips.

I have pro gear, and play Gretsch electric and Guild guitars & hollow bodies exclusively. VOX AC-50 with a dozen boutique effects pedals. Spanish Classical guitar.
Several Microphones, practice amps, mobile recording decks. Movie grade projector for large festivals & shows. Chevy conversion touring Van. Looking to start regional tours at really cool music venues across Colorado, New Mexico (for starters). Have booking & publishing agent (NYC).
