ABOUT

First, her voice gets you.

She could be singing Patsy Cline’s Walkin After Midnight from the Ryman stage, belting a Broadway tune for a packed house, or singing a soft, lilting, original melody at a cozy house concert, the result is the same. Goosebumps. Awe. Inspiration. She has spent the majority of her life perfecting the art of song and that work shines through every performance.

Then, it’s her comfort on stage.

Having been on stage in one capacity or another since she was eleven, it is clear that the stage is home. Whether scripted or impromptu, when she has an opportunity to be in the spotlight, she relishes it and takes her audience into that space with her. She shares the intimacy with them.

And, that’s where her music comes from.

Growing up in questionable circumstance, Frankie is no stranger to a sad story, or a broken heart. In all of those moments, music made life better. As such, it is music, and songwriting in particular, that she chose to focus on in the second quarter of her life. While she has spent decades bringing other people’s songs to life, and allowing other people’s stories to narrate her journey, about five years ago, she decided it was time to put pen to paper and write down a few of her own.

What started with the idea that she could throw some truth on a page, took her from a cute little ditty about how opposites attract to a deep broken tune full of desperation and longing for change. Whether she is writing about the state of the world, the state of her heart, or a deep pain that just won’t quit, with every note, you want to be on that journey with her.
