My name is Fred, I am a 27 year old musician from europe.
I grew up in France, then lived in Germany, moved to Spain and live in the States since three years.

Jazz: Wes Montgomery , Grant Green, Keith Jarrett, Ellington, Parker, Mingus, Billie Holliday, Jimmy Smith, Kenny Burrell, Thelonious Monk, Miles, Pastorius, Herbie Hancock....
Gospel and Soul
Gypsy Jazz: Django, Jimi Rosenberg... well all the big ones ( I really love Gypsy Jazz)
FUNK! mister James Brown and everything else that makes you want to move ! ;) Afrofunk is really great too ! Fela Kuti, for example
Dub and Reggae music: the Mouse, Israel vibrations , Bob, well the big ones .. french Reggae, spanish, german, english and so on... Mad profesor, Lee Perry...
Latin and Caribean music: Cumbia, Salsa, bossa,( Baden Powell for ex), Tango, Samba, Soca, Merengue, Zouk, Calypso.. ( I listed Reggae as it s own, but it actually comes in here too , the reason why I hate lists, anyway I do think that everything is connected ! ;0 )

Oh i almost forgot , I also listen to rap ( more on the french side though) in the States what I really like is oldshool ( DMC run is my top one... East or Westside I dont really care ! ;)
