Influences
We are three multi-instrumentalists seeking a solid drummer/percussionist to join the project who is focused, and excited to catch up with existing material, workshop new material, and starting gigging soon.
Our influences come from a mix of indie rock, space/psychedelic rock, and post/art rock.
We aim to emphasize dynamics, texture, and mood to create something new, modern, and artistic.
Stylistically, we’re looking for a drummer who can proficiently bridge modern hard rock to jazz/ambient/post-rock. You must be passionate about your craft and study/dissect your favorite artists. We use a custom light show, so you must be able to play to a click track.
Bands with drummers/percussion we enjoy include (in no particular order): Tame Impala, Bear in Heaven, Mogwai, Radiohead, The Mercury Program, Tool, Dungen, Bobby, Vessels, Explosions in the Sky, The Smashing Pumpkins, etc...
Equally important is your character and personality. It will be important for you to fit in with the group for things to work out: easy-going, eager to explore abstract concepts/complex musical goals, motivated, emotionally stable, and intelligent should all describe you.

EQUIPMENT
Regarding drums, we have a full practice kit and rehearsal space in Brighton (for >3 years now).
The three current members suffer from gear acquisition syndrome.
