The long work week is over, and what better place to go to then the Waterman Brewery, in Elk Grove! With some great beers on tap, happy hour, and interesting music to listen to: country, blues, rock, jazz, classical, soul, funk, latin, reggae, and psychedelic; Ilene McHolland utilizes her 6-string electric NS Design cello with all kinds of sound effects, making this an outstanding experience!

One of the most interesting bands in the current day blues/rock scene are the Freewheelers Cello Band. Like the name already mentions, they play blues with a cello, not just a cello like other bands use, but a 6 string NS Design electric cello, played by one of Nashville's foremost players, Ilene McHolland. After performing on numerous country cd's she went touring in Europe, met Dutch bass player Bas Vossen, and together they first toured the EU, after which they went to live in the US, performing everywhere on the West Coast. Currently, the band is having a break from touring, with only a few scarce gigs to play, so the focus can be more on the production side. Contact: [email protected]
