Funkademic is a musical ensemble based in Providence, Rhode Island. We play funk, soul, and R&B on period-correct instruments. Founded at Brown University in 2019, Funkademic's groove erudition runs deep.

We're a seven-piece band that gigs regularly in Rhode Island, playing festivals, clubs, bars, and parties. Our lineup is complete at the moment, but we're always interested in meeting other musicians - especially vocalists - who dig our style of music and may be interested in collaborating or subbing.
