SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I've been playing for more than 50 years and have gigged regularly for the last 20 years in classic rock, blues, and R&B bands (mostly '60s-'80s, with some more modern tunes thrown in) as well as at church. I'm basically a groove player with good time and tasteful fills. If you're looking for someone with a deep pocket who serves the song, give me a chance. I've played hundreds of gigs over the years, and know when to drive the music and when to lay back. I also enjoy singing background harmonies and some lead vocals.
My musical taste is very wide-ranging, encompassing a variety of genres, including: classic rock and pop, blues, Southern Rock, alternative (including the jam-band scene), bluegrass, Latin'ish (think Santana and War), R&B, funk, jazz and reggae.
I'm looking for mature musicians who want to play some paying gigs once or twice a month. I have a lot of audio samples. If you want to hear more than what is posted, just contact me at: ggoodwinarb at g-m-a-i-l dot com.

Influences
Too many to mention. While my style varies depending on the music, if given the choice I tend to gravitate toward the styles of drummers from Stax and Motown. Then again, I like Don Brewer (Grand Funk), Butch and Jaimoe (Allman Bros.), Steve Gadd (studio legend), Stan Lynch (Tom Petty), Stanton Moore (Galactic), Levon Helm (The Band), Keith Carlock (session and touring great), and the list goes on and on.
