I am a recent transplant to Ames. My musical background is pretty varied. I started playing bass when I was 15, played in a band that got signed to a record label my junior year of college and toured for 3 1/2 years all over the East Coast (though predominantly in the Northeast) playing bars, clubs, theaters, and festivals. After I split from that project I played in bands (mostly funk) in Atlanta and Boston and played numerous bars and clubs in both those cities. I have also sat in at gigs for absent bass players in cover bands and backed singer/songwriters on occasion.

I am looking to meet some good people and get playing in this area. I would be into starting a band (something funky with horns would be great, but I'm open to other options), but I will also back other musicians.
