I have experience recording and performing all over the Chicago area (from suburban/city dives, the Double Door, Metro, to festivals like Taste of Chicago and Milwaukee Summerfest and playing Soldier Field), but I have not gigged (i.e. not gigging, but I'm always playing) in years, may be a little rusty :). Trying to get back into it and looking to do something different from I what I have done in the past. Have some project ideas in my head...
1) Guitar and Violin Duo: If you play violin, please go to y o u t u b e and search for "Stringspace Guitar & Violin Duo" to get an idea of what I have in my head.
2) Guitar and Vocal Duo: Doing standards, american songbook, pop, bossa nova. Think along the lines of Ella Fitzgerald and Joe Pass, Tuck and Patti, Julie London and Barney Kessel
3) Rootsy Rock/Americana: I really like the sound of Lucinda Williams' band when they do their rock stuff (e.g. Protection, Buttercup, Rightously, Bleeding fingers). Also like the sound of Ryan Adams and Drive By Truckers. Love Shelby Lynne's voice.

I'm not looking to be a rock star. Not looking to tour. Money is not my motivation. Basically just looking to play for the love of playing.
