SEEKINGBand to Join, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Piano.
I am a guitar player looking to join or start a band.
Great music starts with a great band, which starts with great musicians!
Home field would be from Princeton to New Hope - let's be that great local band that our friends and neighbors love to party and unwind with on Saturday night!
Would also like to take electronic/ambient music and bring it to the next level.
I have been playing guitar for 25 years. I am looking for experienced musicians that just can't stop loving music. Looking to play covers to start and work in a few originals later, including tight parts with room for plenty of live improvisation in the Jamband mentality, but with focus and purpose. I am a quick learner and have a bachelors degree in music (jazz guitar).
I have a day job, but I am committed and make the time. I like band practice every week and gigging every month.
If you would like to talk, please e-mail me at - my screen name there is steven dot h alpern at dot com.
Would love to find a tight rhythm section and talented and versatile keys player!

Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Trey Anastasio, Dicky Betts, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Charlie Hunter, Derek Trucks, and all of the "classic rock" and "jazz fusion" greats (you know who they are). It would be fun to combine the classic with a modern sound. (I also have soft spots in the heart for Bruce Hornsby, Tower or Power, Soundgarden, and the Revivalists.)
