My band is Doubloon Bayou Band. rockdabayou on FB.

I will speak to the right candidate for a drummer. I'm currently working on an acoustic set with one other musician. I'm using a beat buddy for drums.

We gig once a month. If we are asked to play outside of our usual schedule - parties - cancellations from other bands etc. we get 500.

We practice once a week. The practice schedule is flexible but usually on Wednesday evening.

The ideal candidate has chops, is laid back, friendly and reliable. We jam the songs - so improvisation is important. If you play songs to be “just like the record” you won’t be a good fit.
Creativity! We write originals. Solid timing. No time travelers.

We are not in it for money. So if you gotta get paid asap - we ain’t the one.

If you are in another band but this opportunity interests you it may work.

Cover / Jam Band- blues, rock, alternative.

We practice at my house. I have a full floor dedicated to music.

I have ALL the gear.

Practice is located in Slidell.
3 flights of stairs up. So be in good enough health to handle that. I have to say that because if you’re 50 and in bad shape - it’s gonna suck and you’ll quit.

We have fun. We are very tightly knit.

No bad habits.

420 and beer is cool - but keep it under control - ironically Dave is not the person I put this in here for.

Foul language, bad manners, are out. My wife will cut me because of you.
