Soulful singer with versatile voice and attractive stage presence looking for an acoustic guitar player to accompany her for duo gigs serving up a wide variety of covers (Beatles, Amy Winehouse, Carole King, Elle King, Blind Faith, Etta James, Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen, and more).
I've been turning down too many of these duo opportunities. Guitar player I’ve been working with can’t take weekend daytime gigs which limits me so I'm looking to see who's out there and interested in working.
Would love it if you could play a few per set while I go out and meet the audience.
If you sing - great! If not, instrumentals would be cool too. I want you to have opportunities to shine. I'm not a stage hog or a diva.
We should rehearse to get material down, then gig. I don't see this being rehearsal-intensive once we get started.
Currently gigging in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and hope to move into DC. Willing to go where the gigs are and would appreciate the same attitude from you.

Me and....you? I don’t play an instrument yet, so you should be comfortable being the only instrumentalist. I’m a big fan of someone who can energetically strum and keep the rhythm while I sing.
EQUIPMENT
I secure the gigs, manage the website & FB promotions, provide PA, make sure you are paid (and sometimes fed and watered LOL). You kick ass on guitar, and help me load, set up and break down PA.

This should also be fun for both of us, so I would like to work with an easy-going personality who gets the music business and doesn't take themselves too seriously. I love to laugh and have fun while making music. We should champion each other so the ability to be kind to your fellow performer is a big deal to me.
