Four members, FZ, Cardio, Jalen, and Ryley, all born and raised in Michigan compose the jerk crew known as FZCentrl. Detroit, Michigan the “Motor City” and home of the Motown sound is the backdrop for the jerk crew that has become the most popular jerk crew in the East. FZCentral is a creatively diverse high school group that was formed in October 2009 in FZ’s backyard. They quickly became known for their groundbreaking tutorials accelerating the growth of the jerkin movement and posting their self-filmed and edited jerk dance videos on be, , and social networking sites. As the “Jerkin” movement continued to gain momentum all over the world, FZCentral became one of the best east side jerk crews with millions of followers within a year’s time. FZCentral is not only known for their spirited dance moves they are also known for their music, dynamic jerk beats and raps. In December 2009, FZCentral released “FAN” and opened the floodgates for the music with their inspiration being the late great Michael Jackson and Eminem. Both of which got their start in the “Motor City” as well. They have also been recognized by I See Stars, one of the premiere Detroit based hard core bands. FZCentral has come a long way since the days when they began jerkin in FZ’s backyard in 2009, into a jerk crew with star power and the potential for long-term success as one of the ambassadors of the “Jerkin” movement and the future of new age hip hop.
