ABOUT

My name is Garrett, I am a musician originally from Dallas Texas. I plan to release a album this December and I'm looking for people to play with in a band so I can bring the music to live shows. Currently I go to college at UK, but will be back on breaks and summer so the shows will be more seasonal/ when I visit or heavy in the summer. I've played guitar for about 7 and a half years, been singing for 2 ish years and have picked up some skills on bass, piano, and drums along the way. Currently I am looking for a keyboardist/ pianist and another guitar player to trade off playing rhythm and lead with.

Influences

I come from a very classic rock background but with the music I release I try to branch out more, putting aspects of punk, funk, and genres like disco into my songs. Some of my favorite guitarist are Neal Schon, Santana, Jimi Hendrix. Some of my favorite song writers are Joshua Harmon, Bruce Springsteen, Phoebe Bridgers, and Stevie Wonder. I also like The Cure a lot.

EQUIPMENT

Since I'm split between Lexington and Dallas, during the Fall-Spring my gear is limited. In Dallas I have two electric guitars, I won't have a acoustic or bass. I have a small amp, Im looking into options of getting my other amp down to Dallas though. I'll also have a keyboard and a SM57 mic for when I am in Dallas. During the summers I will also have my regular amp, another electric guitar, bass and a acoustic guitar.
