I have a music education degree and learned to play all band and orchestra instruments so I could teach school and give private lessons (which I did for 10 years). Prior to that I taught and performed in the US Air Force for 20 years. I am retired and available so I want to see if there are any local opportunities.

Influences
I've played drums in country, rock, and small combos. I have played Gospel music in various music teams. I like to play jazz style the most, and learned to play "independently" from Jim Chapin books. I am a professional and know how to balance and blend with a band so I would play underneath rather than overplay unless needed for a solo.
