Doing it mostly for fun. Not interested in gigging as a job. Interested in playing music and coming up with unique (or at least really fun to play) songs. If a few gigs result, so much the better. Garage rock is great, but open to other areas as well (experimental, psychedelic, shoegaze, power pop). Covers can be fun but coming up with originals, even more so.

Most importantly, I think musical ideas are bigger than the people playing them. I don't care if you're an expert player or not. There already was a Hendrix, a Van Halen and an SRV. Enough already with trying to be someone else. As Keith Richards once said about Mick Taylor after he left the Stones... "Mick's a silly boy. He wanted to play lead guitar. You don't play lead guitar... you play a fu*king guitar."
