Vocalist, Vocalist - Tenor, Vocalist - Soprano, Vocalist - Alto.ABOUT
I live in the Howell/Jackson area. Work up in Wall area. I am pretty easy going, but have a drive to play, am dedicated, and like to move VERY fast. No ego. No drugs, no smoke, a couple of beers while I play is great.
I started guitar when I was about 12. I had a music background before guitar - trumpet, trombone, baritone, have taken several years of music theory classes (although I probably have forgotten more than I remember by this point). I switched over to bass in my late teens/early 20's. I am very solid, good grove, and can attack some fairly involved bass lines, but not flashy and I don't need to be in the spotlight. I also can play keys. Definitely more Geddy type stuff, but I played Bohemian Rhapsody on piano in my last band. I am fine with being a straight ahead bass player, but if you wanted a utility person I can play that role too (maybe even as a rhythm guitarist/keyboardist).

Influences
I guess the easiest way to get this across is just a list...Rush, Yes, Brother Cane, Fuel, Steve Morse, Alice in Chains, Zappa, Classical (Mozart and Vivaldi especially), Zep, Floyd, Tull, Seal, The Pretenders, Queensryche, Jellyfish, The The, Queen, etc., etc., etc. I could go on for quite a while. I guess the main point is that my musical tastes are pretty diverse. I like what I like regardless of what genre it gets stuffed into. So I am flexible. But my favorite genres are Prog Rock, Classic Rock (roughly mid 70's and on), Hard Rock and Mainstream Rock.
