I just play bass. Not as a side thing. It's what I've always played and I'm pretty decent at it. Electric, upright, with frets, without frets, and so on.
I read, I can play along if someone knows the chords, I can figure it out if no one knows the chords.
Looking for a band. Preferably original material. Any genre is cool with me.
I'm also game to play on your recording (if you want me to play a specific bass line you'll need to give me written notation though, because it will go faster that way).

Influences
Upright: love old school swing (Jimmy Blanton), solo classical stuff with the bow if you go for that, Richard Davis, etc.
Electric: All over the map here. Jaco of course (but I won't drop Teen Town into your set list don't worry), James Jamerson, Senon Williams, anything with solid drive to it or melodic work or both.
Bands/music I like: Radar Bros., Billy Nayer Show, Dengue Fever, Joe Jackson, Warren Zevon, GnR, Henry Cowell, Die Antwoord, Keith Frank/Soileau, Elvis Costello, The Kinks, Conlon Nancarrow.
