In the 90s, I played drums and percussion with different projects in the DC/MD/VA area, mostly within the world of post-rock, hip-hop, and art/noise, some of it quite aggressive. My focus has been on theatre, film, and other forms of interdisciplinary art the last 18-20 years (in Baltimore, Chicago, and NYC), and therefore spent much less time in bands or behind a drum kit. Interest and experience with hand percussion, incorporating non-traditional uses of percussion in different settings with found-sound improvisation; also using acoustic percussion in electronica or to build rhythm tracks for sample-based music.

Influences
My listening tastes in music are all over the map (literally & figuratively) as are my creative influences, so nearly impossible to list. But as a quick shorthand to music I'd like to be making right now, it would probably owe a debt to all of the following:
