ABOUT

I’m a single-kick drummer available for studio projects and fill-in gigs-- or that one band that just clicks and I’m ready to break bread with. Can play rock, pop, dance/disco, funk, reggae/ska, African socca, classical... even country. I am working on adding double-kick to my arsenal.

Background:
I was a serious student of orchestral percussion and music theory, but then my dreams of playing timpani with the New York Philharmonic were put aside when I joined my high school buddy's punk rock band, Steaming Vomit-- it became all about "loud, fast rules!" I’ve grown since then, but I still love to put it all out there. I listen to and appreciate most kinds of music, but rock is and always has been my heart. On the daily, my playlist consists of OOMPH!, Rammstein, Jinjer, Kvelertak, Spiritbox, In This Moment, Hellyeah, Mudvayne, and Slipknot.

Influences

My gut instinct, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Stewart Copeland, Terry Bozzio, B-52's, AC/DC, Prince, Jane's Addiction, old school punk, dance/pop, 80’s techno/goth/industrial, George Ballanchine (so much rhythm in his choreography), and some amazing teachers (Claire Heldrich, Bill Gladd, Eddie Locke) and those colleagues whom I've had the pleasure to listen to and learn from.
