Currently trying to see what’s out there. I have been (and continue to be) in a working cover band and haven’t felt inspired to write my own stuff for about 5 years, but some new influences have cropped up that have me curious about doing original music again.
I’m a front man / rhythm guitar player with basic skill on drums/bass/keyboard. Looking for a multi instrumentalist to write with who can be the “musical one” – I am mostly self taught and see myself more as a performer then an artist. Vocal harmony is a must, I don’t think any song is complete without ‘em.
Artists that have me inspired to try writing again currently include: I Fight Dragons, Jonathan Coulton/Coultron, They Might Be Giants, Blink 182, Reel Big Fish, etc. Looking to play upbeat positive stuff that inspires dance floor bouncing, drunken singalongs and general nerdgasms.
I work as a Producer/Engineer at a recording studio, so practice space and production is not a problem. Looking to start slow and write here and there and see what kind of material we can come up with.
