I'm a very good lead and background singer. I play decent rhythm guitar; mostly acoustic, but some electric. I can provide light percussion, including brushes on snare (but I'm not a real drummer). I can fake it on electric bass. My favorite genres to play are: Pop songs from the 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s; old time country music; some folk; some alternative from the 70s and 80s. I really don't enjoy much modern country. Give me the old stuff.

Influences
Big band music; older (much older) country music; 50s stuff like Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, and the Everly Brothers; 60s stuff like Gene Pitney; just about everything from the 70s (the decade in which I grew up); most British invasion stuff, like the Kinks and the Beatles (of course); new wave stuff like Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello, Rockpile; country from the late 80s, early 90s like Dwight Yoakam and Marty Stuart; modern string band pop music like Lindsay Lou and the Flatbellys.

EQUIPMENT
I make acoustic guitars, and I'm getting pretty good at it, so I have a number of great ones. I have a Reverend electric 6 string, and a Fender MIM Jazz electric bass. I have a full PA: two QSC K10 active speakers on poles, another for a wedge monitor, and a few different mixers. Lots of mics, including Ear Trumpet Labs mics, which are awesome for an acoustic band. Lots of miscellaneous other stuff.
