ABOUT

An Electronic Music collaboration between Canadian Matt Chisholm and South African Eben
Pretorius.

Both artists have always had a deep rooted love for music, which began at a very young age.
Mastering the DJ skills of track selection and set progression in their home countries, fate would
eventually find them both Djing for peak time crowds throughout Taiwan's electronic music scene.

With over 16 years of combined dj experience between them. Their taste for eccentric Electro with
banging bass lines, found them crossing paths on the dance floor and in the booth.

In early 2007 they began working together in the studio to create something new. That year they
began Djing live as the duo "Too Bad It's Not Tronic". They brought the latest dirty beats and live
mash up sets to the Taiwan scene. Their sets were unique, always giving club goers something
new to grind to. 2008 found them refining their skills even further and pushing different genre
boundaries. Over the years their banging sets were heard at many of Taipei's nightclubs. They had
crowds jumping and wanting more every time they played.

2009 saw the end of "Too Bad It's Not Tronic". The talented Canadian, South African duo decided
to move onto their next big endeavor. Bringing their studio to the stage and forming the live
electronic group; Genetically Modified Beats.

Using their large libraries of tracks, loops and samples along with Ableton Live and an array of Midi
Devices they're able to create, modify and play with a living, moving electronic music soundscape.
Their performances throughout 2009 as Genetically Modified Beats received rave reviews
both in print and online. Grabbing the attention of clubs, promoters and peers began to pay off
when they were offered a residency at Taiwan's biggest club Luxy. Not letting up, they began to
collaborate with the infamous D.Hooker resulting in the successful "A State Of Sound" parties.
Melding interactive performance art with electronic music changed the way people thought about
club nights. With their one a kind sets rocking the dance floors they continued to push forward,
bringing their stage presence and unique sound to the masses. Their staying power in the world of
electronic music became cemented when at the end of 2009 they were voted the #1 DJ of Taiwan.

Not content with just their live performances. The talented duo can also be found hard at work
in their Taiwan based studio. They are currently remixing local artists and putting the finishing
touches on a handfull of original tunes which are waiting to drop on their highly anticipated 2010
debut Album! On top of that, G.M.B bootleg remixes, edits and mashups can always be found
littered through their live sets and mix cds.

With the technical tools and the mental know how, they're taking Electronic Music to the next level.
