I’ve actually been playing for about 10 years but I don’t count the first 5 cause I played finger style acoustic and I was on and off. About 5 years ago I bought my first electric guitar the Jim Root Stratocaster and decided to take it to take it seriously this time learning how to use a pick, play by ear, have a better sense of rhythm, do pinch and tap harmonics, do some legato phrasing, and took some lessons to have any questions about technique and music theory answered, so that is when I consider the start of my journey to become a musician. I want to surround myself with other musicians who want to have fun, play some songs, become better together and eventually do a gig, probably doing covers or make our own music. Currently I am looking for other musicians who like minded.
