Uncle Leo says "hello!"
My name is Geoffrey Johnson. I'm 31 years old and have been drumming since I was a wee little kid at the ripe old age of 10. After briefly studying at Berklee College of Music I moved to sleazy Los Angeles, California in 2006. While attending UCLA I performed and recorded with a few local bands and laid down some tracks on a few commercials. You can still here my magic on a series of three Coca-Cola commercials outside the Nokia Theater at LA Live.

I'll stop bragging and name dropping and tell you what I want. I mean, I do live in LA which entitles me to being a narcissistic punk, allowing me to tell you what I want 'cause I want it now. But seriously. I live in LA. I'm hot sh*t. I have SERIOUS record contacts in SERIOUS leather.

Seriously, seriously. I want to play. I want to play out. I want to record, tour, and collaborate. I am in search of good musicians, good singers, good songwriters, and just overall good artists that take their craft seriously. I am ready to tour and have no professional commitments that will interfere with rehearsals or shows. I am also more than willing to relocate for the right project and to be quite honest, I'm ready for more pastures plenty outside of LA.

I am specifically looking for an indie type project along the lines of Man Man, Frank Zappa, Dr. Dog, Deer Tick/Diamond Rugs, M. Ward, etc. However, I'm open to nearly all styles of music including but not limited to: Acoustic, Folk, Jazz, Indie, Country, Americana, Latin, R&B, Bluegrass, Lounge (Marty and Elaine), Blues, Classic Rock, Funk, or anything else as long as it grooves. Sorry but I am not interested in any cover bands or tribute bands.

The following link is my developing be page. It's not the best representation, but at least you can see that I don't completely suck.
Thank you,
