The Brothers Were Born In El Paso, Tx And Moved To Southern California To Be Raised By Their Single Mother In 1982. The Lessons Learned On The Urban Streets Of Los Angeles And Santa Ana Highly Influenced The Music Of The Family.

The Gk Concept Was Solidified By The Third Originating Member. Rudy “RuRu” Gallardo, First Cousin Of The Group Who Focused His Inherited Talent Of Music From His Father And Uncle. Their Background Embraced The Rhythms Of The Latin Culture. RuRu Grew Up In El Paso, Tx On The North East (N.E.) Side Of The City. The N.E. Is Well Known For Its Harsh No Games Street Laws. In 2002 Through 2004 RuRu Moved To Ny Where He Discovered An Epiphany In Sharing His Experiences Of The Streets Onto Music And Returned To His Hometown Of El Paso,Tx , In 2007 RuRu Founded The Double R Productions Label And Recorded With Several Local Artists But Consolidated His Efforts To Unite With His Brothers And The Gk Family Music Was Born. The Group Came Together In Mid 2008 And Began To Work On Thier First Album 'Coast 2 Coast'. RuRu The Producer And Engineer Collaborated The Compositions With Yogee Loko And Big Moe On The Lyrics And Delivery Of Their Music. With Their Gritty Urban Delivery The Group Holds No Bars In Retelling The Tales That So Many Of America's Youth Experience On The Streets And The Realities They Face. The Third Album For The Gk Family 'Married To The Game' Was Released In Late 2010. This Compilation Headlined By 'Yogee Loko' Showed The Group's Artistic Growth And Talent With Their Polished Lyrics And Delivery. The Gk Family's Notoriety Increased As The Album Circulated On The Underground Scene And Solidified The Gk Family As A Bonafide Group To Reckon With.

Double R Productions In It's Never Ending Search For Quality Talent Has Become Recognized As One Of El Paso's Best Musical Production Companies. Although The Gk Family Was On The Scene Ruru Knew That One Piece Was Still Missing. In Early 2011 And While Working On Their 5Th Album, Double R Productions Introduced Albert “El Giganti” Aragones To The Group. El Giganti Is Also From The N.E. Of Half Mexican And Half Puerto Rican Descent. Their Was An Instant Chemistry Between The Four Members And With El Giganti's Unmistakable Harmonies Added To The Gk's Hard Core Sound A New Style Unheard Of In El Paso Blasted On The Scene.

Their Latest Completion “Malotes Del Desierto” Is A Collaboration Between The Gk Family, El Giganti And The Double R.
