I want to be a better drummer - so to do so I need to play more often. I currently have a Roland kit in my garage which has a volume control and headphone jack ... pretty important things when learning to play drums.... I took lessons for a few years but nothing too formal. More just learning how to play along with what I hear, learning some of the basic drum patterns and such. I'd like to do something more formal when we get out of this coronovirus crap so starting to look to build relationships now. If I've liked someone, it's most likely because I want to do something swing/jazz/electric/loud/fun.

Right now I really like what Cory Marks is doing/has done which is a really heavy country sound. His driving drums are fun to play and you can make a lot of noise doing so. I seem to enjoy fun music and I have this habit of trolling into a swing beat - so I also like the loud Electro-Swing like Earl and Parov Stelar and Caravan Palace. And speaking of just being loud - nothing makes the end of a session more entertaining than banging out some Social Distortion, Ramones, AC/DC or even something from one of the 80's "hair bands".

Instrument experience:

As of right now I have a Roland TD11KVM but I have some money set aside for an acoustic set when ready..... the Roland is ok - but it drops notes and feels every now and then which is really annoying.
