I am an experienced singer/lyricist/arranger, looking to write and perform great, original music.

I've been in bands all my life, and am eager to get back to writing and performing original songs, with perhaps a few mutually desirable songs by others sprinkled in. (But definitely not the focus).

You can find my old band, Home to Henry's records, on Spotify/iTunes, not because I want to sound like this any longer (although the songs are available to re-do), but so you can hear that I can indeed sing! Or Google Home to Henry. Our two CDs are "Another Life" and "Lost and Found".

Influences

My musical interests are very broad, but the kind of music I am most interested in writing is relatively (perhaps deceptively) straight-forward rock/Americana. I fell deeply in love with Drive-By Truckers over the past few years. (Jason Isbell, too). Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers. The Frames/Glen Hansard. Avett Brothers. Iron & Wine. The National. But my "lifelong" influences also include everything from Joni Mitchell, to prog-rock, to Dead Kennedys, to Al Green and Otis Redding. (Does this help? :)) I don't believe any original music we make will necessarily sound like ANY of the above, but, I hope that gives a clue to where I am coming from: Basically, honest music, from the heart. I want to do the work, and hear the work in sound.
