I'm Greg Vaughan, owner of Standing Wave Music, a recording studio in Scottsdale, Arizona. Many of current work are instrumental sketches that serve as backing for my videos on V i m e o (just type in gregvaughan). They tend to be somewhat hypnotic and trancy, often with a flavor of world music.

Since it is my primary instrument, most songs include acoustic and/or electric guitar. The songs with lyrics are my own compositions, with me on vocals and most of the instruments. All were recorded here at Standing Wave Music. I've got five albums out on iTunes so you can check out the range of my music there.

I'm looking to hook up with some musicians who are interested in exploring and creating music with trance elements: synth pads, big bass, repetitive motifs, guitar leads, percussion, and seasoning to taste. Don't really want to call this trance music, but there, I brought it up. There are elements of jazz, Floyd, EDM, latin, and experimental. Tough to nail down. Listen to my instrumental songs and you can kind of see what I'm saying. And, I'd really like to have this music heard by recording and playing out. If any of this resonates with you, then lets connect and try on some ideas.
