Drummer WANTED Chittenden and surrounding areas
Gneiss is looking for a new drummer to join our established band. Guitar, bass, and keys players also sing. We enjoy creating original songs, and have over 25 varied originals that have been well received by live audiences. Our tunes cross genres and are influenced by rock, blues, jazz, and funk.
We play limited covers that have included Beatles, Grateful Dead, Phish, Herbie Hancock, others, and are open for more.
In addition to playing gigs, we are preparing to record our first album.
Gneiss takes its music seriously, and is also an outlet for members to have fun, enjoy each other's company, and be creative.
The ideal drummer will be able to command the music but also be an organic, and dynamic listener/player. An interest in singing back-up/some lead/harmonies a plus. Not looking for a session drummer but someone who is a contributing member of the band.
We want to see you in action behind your kit! If you are interested in audtioning please send us a simple video of you playing along with some info about you, and any questions you may have. The video doesn't have to be fancy; just give us an idea of your chops. Any mp3 recordings would also be welcome. If we like what we see we'll send you some songs to choose from for you to prepare before we have an audition.
