Hi! I'm currently off in school learning about the wonders of Cover Bands and such (and other high school material). I write music pretty regularly but I keep finding myself stuck in ruts without musicians who can snaz up my minimal knowledge of piano, guitar etc. This summer I'm hoping to get a band together to record and perhaps perform some original content, but I'm alright with covers too. I'm a vocalist and lyricist. I'll only be available for the summer until I have to return to school in august, but I'm hoping to find some dedicated musicians to spend my summer with. I'm not going to lie, I'm new. I've done fairs and my school has a contemporary band which is just a glorified cover band but instead of doing things all yourself you get a teacher that also happens to be a sound engineer. Next year I'm taking recording arts but I know pretty little. All I have is passion, lyrics, and my voice.

Nirvana's sound has always been an interest and I love how easy they make it seem to convey emotion.
I like the Cranberries for that same reason.
Blink 182 has the aesthetic sound I like.
Meg Myres is a pretty great vocalist and I like how heavy her music can get for contemporary sound.
Sublime has a great beachy and happy/care-free sound I like.
Blue October started me off with sentimental value, their Foiled album anyway.

It'll just be me, sorry about that.

Two mics and some other old equipment given to me by my pops. A Mac computer (with good ole garage band) and an acoustic guitar. I don't think we need it but I also have a Cajon (Box drum).
