I am a solid and reliable rock/Southern rock/country, funk, and blues drummer. I also sing a little and dabble at several other instruments. I just moved back to "Sweet Home Alabama!" I spent the last 5 years in Austin, TX working in the tech industry.
Before moving to Austin, I played in one of the busiest working bands in Southern Idaho for years. You can see our old demo video we used to book shows on my profile. You can hear me sing lead on Jenny, Smoke on the Water, and maybe 1-2 others. It's nothing special but passable for a bar band. I also did lots of background vocals.

Before that I gigged with a great guitarist and singer from the Sun Valley, ID area, Jay Rath in a band called Electric Snack - a fun band that did a mix of covers and Jay's originals. After years of struggling with roster changes I finally gave that up. (Jay is now gigging and recording in Muscle Shoals!)

The band before Electric Snack I would almost rather forget because of the horrible name, but we played some pretty funky stuff for white dudes in Idaho. ;)

I've played literally hundreds of gigs and don't want to gig every weekend, but I’d be down for special occasions like wedding gigs.
What I really want do is to make friends with some other adults who need a good creative outlet. I would love to jam, write and record just to develop better chops and let off some steam.

Singers, guitarists, bassists, keyboardists, horn players, harp players, pickers, grinners, and music lovers that enjoy hanging out, jamming, improvising, and maybe recording occasionally. We can work up some covers with backing tracks I have been working on in Garage Band, do rocked out or funky versions of old standards, or just jam.

I miss playing, and want to become a better musician. I’m way more interested in quality over quantity. I eventually want to practice recording covers or originals to develop audio engineering skills.

When it comes to gigging, with as few as 2 other committed musicians, we could work up a strong set or two of standards and "always requested" covers for 3 or 4 high dollar wedding / private party / corporate event gigs a year. The horn section/keyboard players/rhythm guitarists that live in my sampler don't ask for a cut of the pay, either, so we can still have a fat sound and only have to split the money 3 ways. I'd be down for that with the right group.

I have both acoustic and electronic kits, pro cymbals, and a small PA that would be perfect for practices. I have a Mac for GB and Main Stage. I'm serious and hard-working but I'm not a stick in the mud. Let's make some music!
