I have been in Chicago for a year now, working as a piano teacher and gigging musician. I do some playing with bands, but am mostly working the piano bar circuit as both a solo act and with dueling pianos.

Right now however, I am starting my own project. The vision is to play New Orleans-influenced Blues and RnB with my originals sprinkled in. Think Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, and Professor Longhair, but then expanded out to guys like Randy Newman and Otis Spann. I play piano and sing and have a drummer committed, but am in search of an electric guitarist and bass player to fill out the group. It would be a huge bonus if they could also sing harmonies. From there, horns may very well be added.

We use a very nice and free rehearsal space in Evanston with mics and a PA. The goal is to record an album, play some local gigs (1-2 a month), and have a good time doing it!!
